YOUTH MINISTRY / JUNIOR MINISTRY

Mt. Horeb’s Missionary Baptist Church’s Youth Ministry is dedicated to partnering with parents to ensure that their children receive a great spiritual foundation for their lives. God’s Word will come alive to your child as they learn to apply it to their everyday life. Realizing the challenges of today’s world, we attempt to offer opportunities to explore God’s call on their life through service, missions, dance, music, and devotion. Our goal is to change the method without changing the message, which is still Christ.

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher. (Luke 6:40)

Sunday School

Our Sunday morning gatherings start at 9:30 a.m. and for all school age children. Each week we address different topics and discuss them in an engaging way.

DEACON MINISTRY

The Deacon Ministry provides encouragement, support, and resources to deacons and individuals and families in Mt. Horeb’s Missionary church congregation.

Deacon’s Role

“Deacons are called to be dedicated caregivers who use their spiritual gifts in a shared ministry of concern for the total well-being of God’s people. Deacons are to be Christ-like, welcoming, nurturing, reconciling, sensitive to the presence of God’s spirit in their lives and in the lives of others, witnessing for Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord within and beyond the Body of Christ, the church.”

NEW MEMBER MINISTRY

The New Members Ministry welcome all new members in Christ and those that wish to join Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist church and provide a foundational understanding of our beliefs as a church and God’s specific call to each member.

PRISON MINISTRY

We hold a firm belief that no life is beyond the reach of God’s almighty power, and we envision a future in which countless prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families, are redeemed, restored, and reconciled through the love and truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Re-entry Job Program

The prospect of having to search for meaningful work upon release from prison can be a major adjustment, particularly for inmates who have been out of the job market for a many years. Inmates nearing release in today’s society need to re-learn, or perhaps for the first time learn, how to effectively “find for a job.”
